This was a warranty company job that I called in Monday night, and Tuesday morning they scheduled me for an appointment that day.. Nick arrived on time and quickly diagnosed the situation and repaired it. He did have to go out and find certain parts because it was butylene. Nick did an excellent job, he was professional and friendly as wel.l I highly recommend them for your plumbing needs!

Speedy Plumbing really cares about their customers. I know this to be true because they were assigned to assess a pressure tank issue at our residence in response to a home warranty claim. Speedy plumbing correctly diagnosed the tank failure, and when the warranty company fraudulently declined the claim, Speedy Plumbing independently decided to assist us because they agreed with our opinion that the tank should be covered under the warranty claim. The owner personally assigned a plumber to come and fix the issue at an exceedingly fair price as he agreed it should have been covered by the warranty. For that we are truly thankful.

We used this company previously with our home warranty company. Out of all the companies the home warranty had sent they were on time professional and no nonsense. Understandably they no longer work with the home warranty companies and we needed some repairs completed. I called late afternoon and they were on point and on time the very next morning. I recommend this company simply for the punctuality, professionalism and desire to do the right job the 1st time. Great people with great work ethic and fair pricing.

I recently reviewed this company and gave them a 1-Star rating due to my phone call going unanswered. To be fair, I am a perfectionist and I'm impatient. I did get a phone call back a few hours later the day I left a message and deleted that review; the lady I spoke to was very polite and professional but I can’t remember her name. She explained that Charles would be coming to my house between 8am and 4pm the next day. That was a plus because normally with American Home Shield you usually wait 3-5 days for someone, which is why I called that morning to make sure the work order was in. At 7:30 am the next day, Charles called and told me he would be at my house by 8am. He arrived on time and was very polite. Within an hour my drain was unclogged. He explained at one point that I may have to call someone else out to use a jet to clear the clog because American Home Shield wouldn't cover the cost for it and that's why he didn't carry that equipment. I thought all was lost but with a determined attitude, as a last resort, he attempted to clear the clog going through the washer drainpipe instead of the kitchen drain. 10 minutes later my drain was cleared. He could have just given up and told me I’d have to call someone else, and I would have understood because he had already tried numerous techniques to clear the drain. Thanks, Charles, for a job well done!

Prompt service for an annoying “constantly running” toilet! Friendly plumber, explained the issue and fixed the problem. I think I might have to place Speedy Plumbing on speed dial!

My son and daughter-in-law needed a new water heater. They were told by this company that they needed an expansion tank and shut off valves as well. They had to pay upfront (due to agreement with home warranty company) which they did. Mr. Speedy installed the water heater. When my son came home from work he noticed that the expansion tank was not installed. When the called them he was told that "they don't need one!" Well, why did you bill them for one and make them pay upfront for something they "don't need" and they aren't coming back to install it, but will refund the money for the tank???????????

Called to fix a small leak in a cast iron pipe. Understandably the fix caused some more leaks down the line because the pipe was old. I was given a quote that stated I needed 40 feet of old cast iron to be replaced with PVC. I checked out the situation myself that night to find that there was about a total of 9 feet of cast iron from the crawl space. (For reference I’ve attached the picture. After being removed by me, only half of the old pipe is visible in the picture which measures about 4.5 feet) I don’t understand how someone overestimates total pipe length by 444%. I was quoted over $800 in materials alone to replace every single peice of cast iron in my crawl space. I picked up all of the parts myself at a big box hardware store for about $60. Again overestimating by 1333%. If they can’t get their parts cheaper than Home Depot or Lowe’s, then they need evaluate their supply chain management. I’m quite disappointed. The owner seemed like a stand-up guy on the phone and the techs were pretty friendly people too. I would have definitely hired them because of their demeanor. I had such high hopes, but I realized I was about to get swindled once I inspected what they claimed what needed to be repaired. Lastly, I’m anxious to see what type of silly reply this will get. The owner says he rarely replies to these type of reviews. I’m still on the edge of submitting a price gouging complaint to the NC Attorney General.
